In February and March 2015, I was introduced to the wonderful world of mural painting. This came about by pure chance as I participated in the Adelaide Art Walk as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Matt Farrell, live music enthusiast, owner of the Melbourne Street Laundromat and all round top bloke agreed to let me paint the walls of his business and the result turned out to be great fun, if a little precarious at times as I perched over clothes dryers and top loaders with a musician strumming away about 1 - 2 metres away from me. Artist Josh Hobbs was also present showing his multi-disciplinary art works.

What this ignited was a love of painting on walls - the ultimate blank canvas. As a result, I am like a junkie looking for my next fix, every wall is potentially the next hit. Fortunately for me I have another opportunity coming up to get another taste with the West End Art Walk in August as part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA). Watch this space, I am collaborating with super talented Artist Monica Prichard who is bursting with ideas so we’ll see where this goes - Oh the possibilities!!
